BA Practice Lead

The BA Practice Lead will lead our BA stream within the company and work alongside other Competence Leads and the CTO. Additionally, this person will be involved in various projects for kickoffs, discovery phases, product ownership and business analysis, and consulting.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years experience in Business Analyst / Product Owner role
  • 2+ years experience in leadership role
  • Pre-Sales / discovery / project kickoff experience
  • Experience selecting the best talent by recruiting
  • Experience growing the talent by assessing, setting goals and mentoring
  • Experience participating in BA talks
  • Experience building teams
  • Upper-intermediate high level of English
  • Experience with Financial Services & Banking domain

Responsibilities:

  • Grow revenue from BA services
    • Defining, shaping and updating BA services portfolio to match industry trends and best practices
    • Working with portfolio of existing accounts to generate BA opportunities and sell BA services to them
    • Cooperating with Marketing to properly market BA services
    • Involvement into Presales calls with potential clients and selling BA services
    • Involvement in Discovery phases and assessments for new and existing projects
    • Involvement on the project on a part-time (50%) basis
    • Short-mid term involvement on the projects with the role of Lead BA for project kickoff, consulting and delivering solutions for technical challenges
    • Working with Resource Manager to provide the best allocation of BAs across projects in terms of revenue and margins
    • Support marketing by writing content for blogs, case studies
    • On-site trips to clients for pre-sales, up-sales, discoveries
  • Perform tech interviews for new BAs and teams, contribute to improving corporate tech interview standards, and focus on continuous professional development of BA stream. Non-standard vacancies handling – Product Manager, Product Expert etc.)
  • Assessing promotions of BAs and improving promotion process
  • Growing BA community in the company by organizing regular syncs and events and sharing Sombra culture & values across BA stream (BA community should be company promoters)
